LANGUAGES DOMAIN
Connor Callister
Languages Learning Leader
In the Languages Domain, you have the choice of studying French or Japanese.
Learning a language will broaden your horizons about the personal, social, cultural and employment opportunities that are available in an increasingly interconnected and interdependent world.
Acquire communication skills that will enable you to interact in French or Japanese and develop a deep understanding and appreciation of the relationship between language, culture and learning.
In Middle School (Year 7 & 8) you will make an important choice between Japanese and French. If you find yourself enjoying and performing well in your Languages studies throughout Middle School we highly recommend that you continue with a Language in Pathways (Year 9 & 10).
Language Camps and in-country immersions trips are offered to Languages students in Pathways and VCE. Catholic College Wodonga has established relationships with its sister schools, Matsudo International High School (Japan) and Lycée Saint-Michel in Château-Gontier (France).
